The Danish coach, Jes Thorup, of Al Ahly club, has made his final decision regarding the departure of the team's striker, Mohamed Sherif, during the current winter transfer window, amidst interest from Al Ittihad Alexandria club in acquiring his services.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Torop categorically rejects the idea of letting go of Mohamed Sherif, emphasizing the team's need for his efforts in the upcoming phase, especially with the pressure of matches and the unresolved issue of signing a foreign striker so far.

The newspaper indicated that the Al Ahly coach informed the club's management of the continuation of Mohamed Sherif even if a new striker is signed, with the possibility of the Slovenian Nejc Gradisar leaving, who is close to joining the Hungarian club Ujpest on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy for $2.5 million.

It is noted that Mohamed Sherif returned to Al Ahly during the last summer transfer window, after the end of his contract with the Saudi club Al-Khaleej, with a contract extending for three years, confirming the coaching staff's commitment to retaining his services in the upcoming period.
