Rosinior: This was wonderful, and we felt some frustration
Chelsea coach Liam Rosinior appeared in a press statement following the 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the 23rd round of the English Premier League, at Selhurst Park Stadium.
The coach said in his talk: "I think the commitment of the players, their desire to run, and their intensity in pressing were wonderful. This is a difficult stadium to play in."
He added: "We felt some frustration at the end of the match, we were leading 3-0 even though the opponent was playing with ten men, and we were aiming for a third consecutive clean sheet. In terms of mentality and group commitment, the performance was first-rate."
He emphasized: "There were many positive indicators, and there is still a lot of room for improvement, but you cannot feel disappointed when you come here and win 3-1 away from home."
He concluded about the penalty Chelsea received, saying: "I sympathize with the defender, it was a handball. I didn’t want to see him sent off because it wasn’t intentional, but I think the referee made the right decision entirely, his arm was beside his body, but the ball was heading to the net, so I see the decision was correct."
