The media personality Ahmed Hassan stated on Facebook: "Source: Torop refused the departure of Aliou Dieng in January, and Al Ahly's management informed the player of the decision a few days ago, officially closing the file."
The journalist Gamal El-Ghandour confirmed from a source within Al Ahly club that the Spanish club Valencia has made an offer to sign Dieng during the current winter transfer window.
Al-Ghandour added that the player wishes to leave the ranks of the Red team as he desires to pursue a professional experience in the Spanish league.
Dieng threatened that if the club continues to refuse his departure during the current winter transfer window, he will sign with Valencia in January and move there for free at the end of the season.
