The Al-Ittihad team stumbled with a tough loss against its host Al-Qadisiyah, with a score of two goals to one, in the match that brought them together as part of the Saudi Professional League's Roshn competition.

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam hosted the match between the two teams as part of the seventeenth round of the tournament, with a large crowd in attendance and strong support for the home team.

The team entered the match with a lineup that included Mohamed Al-Absi, Danilo Pereira, Fabinho Tavares, Hassan Kadesh, Mario Mitaj, N'Golo Kante, Houssem Aouar, Mahamadou Doumbia, Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti, Moussa Diaby, and Karim Benzema.

The first few minutes saw pressure from Al-Qadisiyah, before Al-Ittihad threatened the goal in the eighteenth minute with a header from Hossam Aouar that hit the post in the most dangerous chance of the first half.

The Frenchman Karim Benzema succeeded in giving Al-Ittihad the lead in the 29th minute after successfully converting a penalty into the net against Al-Qadsia.

Al-Qadisiyah's response was not delayed, as Colombian Julian Quinones equalized in the thirty-seventh minute, capitalizing on a successful follow-up inside the penalty area.

Quinones returned to lead Al-Qadisiyah to take the lead, after scoring the second goal in the fifty-ninth minute, following a decisive pass from Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat.

Al-Qadsia maintained its lead until the final whistle, securing three valuable points that raised its total to 36 points in fourth place, while Al-Ittihad's total remained at 27 points in sixth place.
