The Saudi Football Federation Considers Rescheduling King’s Cup Semi-Finals
Thursday 22-01-2026
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has opened the file on the scheduling of the semi-final matches of the King's Cup, in a move aimed at studying the possibility of making changes to the previously set schedule.

The Football Federation, led by Yasser Al-Misehal, submitted an official request to the four qualified clubs—Al Hilal, Al Ahly, Al Ittihad, and Al Khulood—to gather their opinions on rescheduling the matches.

The Saudi Federation requested clubs to provide their views on holding the semi-final matches, scheduled for March 16 and 17, in preparation for making an appropriate decision.

This decision was made because the current dates coincide with the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan, according to what was published by the Al-Riyadiyah newspaper on its official account on the X platform.

The draw for the King’s Cup semi-finals resulted in a match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Kholood in Al-Rass on March 16, 2026, while Al-Ahli will face Al-Hilal in Jeddah on March 17.

It is noted that Al-Hilal reached this stage after defeating Al-Fateh 4-1, while Al-Ittihad surpassed Al-Shabab with the same score. Al-Kholood qualified at the expense of Al-Khaleej, while Al-Ahli secured their passage through penalty shootouts against Al-Qadisiyah.
