A press report announced the imminent return of Brazilian Matheus Gonçalves, player of Saudi Al-Ahli club, to participate in group training after his recent absence due to injury against Al-Khaleej.

Matheus Gonçalves missed the Al-Khaleej match, which took place last Tuesday, as part of the seventeenth round of the Saudi Roshan League, due to suffering an ankle injury.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Youm confirmed that Gonçalves will return to regular training with Al-Ahli tomorrow, Friday, after his full recovery and readiness to participate without physical restrictions.

The Brazilian player participated with Al-Ahli this season in 21 official matches, during which he succeeded in scoring two goals, in addition to assisting three goals for his teammates.

Al-Ahli achieved a significant victory over Al-Khaleej with a score of four goals to one, in the match that brought the two teams together as part of the seventeenth round of the league.

Al-Ahli ranks third in the Saudi Professional League standings with 37 points, behind Al-Nassr, the runner-up, on goal difference, before facing Neom next Saturday.
