Al Ahly Approaches Signing Palestinian Mahmoud
Informed sources revealed that the head coach of the Egyptian club Al Ahly, Jakob Torup, has given his preliminary approval to the club's management to proceed with negotiations to sign the young Palestinian striker Mohammed Mahmoud, known as 'Momo,' who plays for the German club Elversberg.
A senior official within Elversberg club confirmed that the ongoing negotiations with Al Ahly are progressing very positively, expressing optimism about reaching a final agreement in the near future, especially given the possibility of registering the player as a domestic player due to his possession of a Palestinian passport.
The source added that Sayed Abdel Hafiz, a member of Al Ahly Club's board of directors, recently held a meeting with the player in Germany, during which they discussed the details of the potential transfer and the club's plans for the upcoming phase.
Mohamed Mahmoud 'Momo,' born in 2005, is 1.92 meters tall and holds both German and Palestinian nationalities. He represented the Palestine under-20 national team a few years ago and previously played for the German club Bochum's under-17 team, where he appeared in 17 matches and scored 21 goals. He was then promoted to the under-19 team, with which he played 34 matches, scoring 19 goals and providing 3 assists.
