Tottenham Hotspur secured an important 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the match held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as part of the seventh round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham opened the scoring early in the 14th minute through Argentine defender Cristian Romero, before Dominic Solanke doubled the lead in the 37th minute, ending the first half with the home team leading by two goals to nil.

Borussia Dortmund suffered a major setback during the match after their player Daniel Svensson was sent off in the 26th minute, forcing the German team to complete the match with ten players, which made their comeback more difficult.

With this win, Tottenham raised their points tally to 14, occupying fifth place in the standings, while Borussia Dortmund remained at 11 points in eleventh place.
