The British newspaper The Guardian reported that Liverpool considers the Hungarian star Dominik Szoboszlai one of the candidates to become the team's captain in the future, given his leadership personality and remarkable development on the field.

The newspaper explained that the Reds' management is keen to reward the significant progress the player has made with the team by offering a huge new contract that reflects his increasing status and important role in Liverpool's project over the coming years.

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool in 2023 from Leipzig for 70 million euros, and his contract expires in the summer of 2028.

It is worth mentioning that the Hungarian player has played 123 matches with the Reds in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 19 assists.
