Saadeddine Saran, president of the Turkish club Fenerbahçe, reaffirmed his club's clear stance regarding the signing of French midfielder N'Golo Kanté, star of Al-Ittihad Saudi Club, during the current winter transfer window.

Saran confirmed, in statements reported by the Saudi newspaper Al-Yaum, that Fenerbahçe's management is still determined to sign N'Golo Kanté, responding to the club fans' demand to complete the deal.

The president of Fenerbahçe clarified that the management will not back down from the negotiation process, emphasizing that efforts will continue with full force until a final decision regarding the deal is reached.

He added that the club will make every effort to finalize the contract, given the strong confidence in Kanté's technical abilities and extensive experience on the field.

Earlier press reports revealed that N'Golo Kanté had reached a preliminary agreement with Fenerbahçe, with some final details still pending between the Turkish club and Al-Ittihad.

On the other hand, the management of Al-Ittihad Saudi Club is seeking to retain the player’s services by opening negotiations to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, for an additional two seasons.

It is worth mentioning that N'Golo Kanté joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, coming from English club Chelsea, on a three-season contract, becoming one of the team's standout stars in the Roshn Saudi League.
