The Catalan club is looking for a ready and leading striker capable of taking responsibility for the front line starting from the next season, and the sports management has placed Álvarez's name as a top priority to achieve this goal.

Despite Barcelona's complex financial situation, the club believes that if they return to the 1/1 salary cap, they will be able to move in the market and sign the Argentine star by the end of the current season.

The newspaper concluded by noting that Barcelona's management sees that an offer of approximately 80 million euros might be sufficient to convince Atlético Madrid to let go of the player.
