According to press reports, Moroccan international Youssef Belammri is close to officially joining the Egyptian club Al Ahly. He is expected to arrive at Cairo International Airport early the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, ahead of being introduced to the media and fans.

According to the same sources, the player is expected to have his first training session with Al Ahly on the evening of his arrival in Cairo, after completing all the procedures related to his registration and joining the team.

Al Ahly had finalized the signing of Youssef Belammri while the player was with the Moroccan national team camp, after reaching an official agreement to sign a contract lasting two and a half seasons, with a clause allowing for an extension of an additional season.

The reports indicated that Belammri will receive an annual salary of $800,000, with a gradual increase of $100,000 each season, while Raja Club Athletic will receive $500,000 for completing the transfer to Al Ahly.

The signing of Belammri comes as part of Al Ahly's efforts to strengthen its squad with outstanding players in the upcoming period, in preparation for the anticipated local and continental competitions.
