Al Hilal Chases a Talent Watched by Real Madrid
Monday 19-01-2026
Al Hilal Saudi Club is seeking new offensive solutions, putting multiple alternatives on the planning table in anticipation of potential setbacks in its ongoing negotiations during the current winter transfer market.

Al Hilal is primarily focused on signing Mohamed Kader Meiti, the 18-year-old striker from French club Rennes, to strengthen their attack in the second half of the season.

This move comes as the Brazilian winger Caio Cesar is set to leave on loan to Corinthians, prompting the Blue administration to secure additional attacking options.

Journalist Gianluigi Longari revealed on the "Sport Italia" network that Al Hilal has considered Cameroonian Christian Kouamé, Bayer Leverkusen's forward, as an alternative option in case the deal for Kader Miti falls through.

Kovani has become the second strong option within Al-Hilal's circles, especially given the difficulties in negotiations with Rennes during the current January transfer window.

Kouvani, 19 years old, is considered one of the most promising attacking talents, attracting the interest of Real Madrid, which reflects the player's significant technical value.

The Cameroonian striker joined Bayer Leverkusen last summer, coming from Spanish club Albacete for 5.25 million euros, and is under contract until June 2029.

This season, Covani played 24 matches in various competitions with Leverkusen, during which he managed to score 5 goals and provide 5 assists.
