Barcelona lost to Real Sociedad 2-1 in the match held at the Anoeta Stadium, as part of the 20th round of the Spanish league.

Real Sociedad opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Mikel Oyarzabal, and the first half ended with the home team leading 1-0.

In the second half, Barcelona managed to equalize in the 70th minute through Marcus Rashford, before Real Sociedad quickly responded by scoring the second goal in the 71st minute through Gonzalo Guedes.

The final minutes of the match saw a sending-off, as Carlos Soler of Real Sociedad received a straight red card in the 88th minute, leaving his team to finish the game with ten players.

With this win, Real Sociedad increased their total to 24 points, moving up to eighth place in the La Liga standings, while Barcelona's total remained at 49 points at the top of the table.
