Manchester City announced today the loan transfer of their Argentine player Claudio Echeverri to Spanish club Girona until the end of the 2025/2026 season, following an agreement between all parties, pending the completion of administrative procedures.

This decision comes following the early termination of the player's loan with German club Bayer Leverkusen, as the English club seeks to provide its young player with greater opportunities to participate and gain experience through regular playing time.

Echeverri will join Girona as part of the City Football Group, where he will reunite with his Manchester City teammate Vitinha Reis, who is also on loan to the Catalan club.

It is worth noting that 20-year-old Echeverri joined Manchester City in January 2024 from Argentina's River Plate. He has participated in several first-team matches, including the FA Cup final, and scored a free-kick goal during his appearance in the Club World Cup.
