Real Madrid players were subjected to continuous whistles of disapproval from the royal fans, most notably directed at Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Fede Valverde, as the trio received harsh whistles every time they touched the ball.

The fans' whistles continued throughout the first half, sending a clear message expressing their displeasure with the team's performance and dissatisfaction with the level and results presented this season, amid calls for correcting the course as soon as possible.

Real Madrid had lost the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona (3-2), which led to the departure of coach Xabi Alonso, before the team was eliminated from the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey against Albacete with the same score, under the leadership of Álvaro Arbeloa.
