Al-Ittihad stumbled with a loss against Al-Ittifaq by a single goal to nil, in the match that brought them together within the competitions of the Roshn Saudi Professional League for the 2025-2026 season.

The meeting was hosted at the Al-Inma Stadium in the city of Jeddah, held as part of the sixteenth round of the competition, amidst a large crowd and great anticipation for the fate of both teams in the league standings.

Al-Ittihad entered the match with a lineup including Rajkovic, Kadish, Sharahili, Pereira, Al-Shanqeeti, Doumbia, Kante, Fernandez, Berguin, Diaby, and Benzema.

On the other hand, Al-Ittifaq relied on Rodak, Hendry, Calvo, Al-Khatib, Al-Otaibi, Nkota, Al-Ghamdi, Mukhtar, Medran, Dembele, and Khaled Al-Ghannam.

Al-Ittifaq imposed a clear superiority in terms of danger and offensive effectiveness, despite Al-Ittihad’s possession of the ball and attempts to shoot more frequently at the goal.

Khaled Al-Ghannam scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute, with a powerful rocket shot from inside the penalty area that settled in the net behind goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.

Rajkovic received a red card in the 85th minute following a handball outside the area, after a video technology review, leaving Al-Ittihad to complete the match with one less player.

Al-Ittifaq raised its points to 25 in seventh place, while Al-Ittihad’s points remained at 27 in sixth place in the Saudi League standings.
