One of the professionals from Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal Club has come under the interest of Turkey's Fenerbahçe Club, as European clubs begin their moves to strengthen their squads during the ongoing winter transfer window.

The Turkish newspaper "Fanatik" revealed that Fenerbahçe is planning to strengthen their attacking line and has listed Uruguayan Darwin Núñez, the Al Hilal striker, as one of the top options on the negotiation table.

The newspaper pointed out that the Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, currently playing for Fenerbahçe, is a candidate to transfer to Napoli in Italy, in the event that Lorenzo Lucca moves from Napoli to the Saudi club Al-Hilal.

In recent days, media reports have circulated that Al Hilal is indeed seeking to sign Italian striker Lorenzo Lucca as part of its plan to strengthen the forward line in the winter transfer window.

Turkish sources added that if Fenerbahçe lets go of Youssef En-Nesyri and Al Hilal succeeds in completing the deal for Luka, Darwin Núñez would be the top candidate to replace him within the Turkish team.

Fenerbahçe prefers to sign Darwin Núñez on loan until the end of the current season, especially since the player is keen to return to European football again.

Nunez joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, coming from English club Liverpool for 53 million euros, on a contract lasting three seasons until June 2028.

The Uruguayan striker participated with Al Hilal in 17 matches across various competitions, during which he scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists, according to data from Transfermarkt.
