Officially.. Roma Announces Signing of Malen
Italian club Roma officially announced on Friday their signing of Aston Villa striker Donyell Malen during the current winter transfer window.
The Italian club said in its statement: "Roma is pleased to announce the signing of Donyell Malen coming from Aston Villa, with the deal arranged on a loan basis with an option to buy permanently."
It added: "The Dutch striker, born in 1999, previously played for PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund, and Aston Villa, participating in 294 matches and scoring 104 goals across all competitions."
It concluded: "On the international level, Malen has played 49 matches for the Netherlands national team, scoring 13 goals, and participated in the Euro 2021 and Euro 2024 tournaments. In the latest edition, he played a decisive role in the round of 16 against Romania, where the Netherlands won 3-0 thanks to his brace."
The Italian club confirmed that the Dutch striker will wear the number '14' jersey with the team.
