After Sacrificing Alonso.. Real Madrid Management Puts Pressure on Players
Thursday 15-01-2026
Journalist José Félix Díaz confirmed that Real Madrid's management will send a clear and decisive message to the players, stating that full responsibility for the current situation rests with them following the departure of coach Xabi Alonso. This move aims to restore discipline and hold the players accountable for what happens on the field.

Díaz explained that the club currently places its trust in coach Álvaro Arbeloa and is giving him full opportunity to lead the team at this stage, while emphasizing that the management will not close the door on big coaching names in the future, such as Zinedine Zidane, Jürgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino, and Enzo Maresca.

The journalist close to the Real Madrid management mentioned that there have been no real contacts so far with any of these coaches, and that all the names being discussed remain under observation only.

Regarding the transfer market, Díaz concluded that Real Madrid does not plan to make major winter signings at this time. However, the club will keep the door open for any suitable opportunities that may arise until the end of January, if the management believes they serve the team's interests.

Real Madrid parted ways with Alonso a few days ago after losing the Spanish Super Cup, then appointed Álvaro Arbeloa as the team's coach, before being eliminated from the Copa del Rey following a loss to Albacete.
