The Egyptian Football Association Congratulates Morocco on Hosting the Africa Cup of Nations

The Egyptian Football Association sent an official congratulatory message to Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, expressing great appreciation for the organizational success witnessed at the Africa Cup of Nations finals currently being held in Morocco, praising the high level of hosting and organization.

The Egyptian Federation, in a letter signed by Chairman Hani Abu Rida, affirmed that the organization presented by Morocco reflects the significant progress the kingdom has made in hosting major sporting events. He pointed out that the quality of infrastructure, efficiency of services, and precision of organization are a source of pride for Arab football, not just for Morocco alone.

The federation explained that the Moroccan organization of the championship serves as a model to be emulated in advancing African football towards greater professionalism and excellence, in light of the clear vision adopted by the Kingdom to develop the game at both the continental and international levels.

The Egyptian Federation also expressed its gratitude for the warm reception that the Egyptian national team delegation received during their stay in Morocco, emphasizing that the fraternal atmosphere and the enthusiastic support from the fans had a greatly positive impact, reflecting the deep historical ties between the Moroccan and Egyptian peoples.

The message concluded by emphasizing confidence in the continued joint cooperation between the football leaderships of the two countries, aiming to meet the aspirations of Arab fans and contribute to enhancing the status of Arab football in continental and international arenas.

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian national team was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations in the semifinals after losing to the Senegalese team. They are set to play the third-place match against Nigeria next Saturday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
