Reda Abdel Aal Attacks Hossam Hassan Following Loss to Senegal
Reda Abdel Aal, the former Egyptian football star, sharply criticized Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, following the Pharaohs' loss to Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian national team lost to the Senegalese national team 1-0 yesterday, Wednesday, in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.
Abdel Aal said in a video on the YouTube platform: "In the coming period, you will hear a lot of troubling things about what happened in the camp; many things went wrong."
He added: "Ahmed Fattouh, why did he leave? You say it's an injury, but it doesn't look like an injury. You want to play Trezeguet, but not at the expense of Fattouh."
He added: "Love and hate are what made you like this. Cooper, who had no experience in coaching, took us to the Africa Cup of Nations final and the World Cup."
He continued: "You have made things difficult for us and for the Egyptian people, and you don't have the right to go to the World Cup. What have you done? We haven't even played football."
And he concluded: "You’re just defending and that’s it, and you don’t even know what you’re playing for. Is this the Egyptian national team?"
