Potential Swap Deal Between Al Hilal and Napoli
Thursday 15-01-2026
Officials of the Saudi club Al Hilal are seeking to finalize a swap deal with Italian club Napoli involving the duo Marcos Leonardo and Lorenzo Lucca during the current winter transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the two clubs are negotiating to explore the possibility of Lucca moving to Al Hilal in exchange for Leonardo, while Napoli is considering multiple alternatives to compensate for the potential departure of the Italian player.

Lorenzo Lucca has several European offers, the most notable being from Turkish club Beşiktaş, which complicates the deal and makes Al Hilal's position dependent on the Italian club's approval of the exchange.

Lucca transferred to Napoli in the summer of 2023 from Udinese for 9 million euros, while Marcos Leonardo joined Al Hilal in September 2024 from Portuguese club Benfica for over 35 million euros.

Since joining Al Hilal, Leonardo has played 63 matches in all competitions, scoring 41 goals and providing 4 assists, making him one of the team's most important attacking assets.

The potential deal comes as part of Al Hilal's efforts to strengthen its attacking options and continue competing for titles both domestically and continentally, while taking into account Napoli's desire to reinforce its squad with substitute players.
