Barcelona Achieves 10 Consecutive Victories for the First Time Since 2016
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Barcelona continues its impressive run, having reached 10 consecutive victories without any draws, a streak the club hasn't achieved since 2016.
According to the newspaper, Barcelona has not suffered any losses since their 3-0 defeat against Chelsea on November 25 at Stamford Bridge, and has since continued to achieve consecutive victories in various competitions.
The newspaper pointed out that the last time Barcelona achieved a similar streak was between April and August 2016, during the transfer period between the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons, under the leadership of coach Luis Enrique, before that streak ended with a 2-1 loss to Deportivo Alavés in La Liga at Camp Nou.
The newspaper added that if Barcelona wins today in Santander, they will break that streak and surpass what Luis Enrique achieved back then. They will also match their best winning streak as the team's coach, which consists of 11 consecutive victories between January and February 2015.
The newspaper confirmed that Barcelona's historic record remains distant, consisting of 18 consecutive victories during the 2005/2006 season under the leadership of coach Frank Rijkaard.
