Fiery Statements from Hossam Hassan Following the Loss to Senegal
Wednesday 14-01-2026
Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, spoke about the difficulties the Pharaohs recently faced in the Africa Cup of Nations following their loss to Senegal in the tournament's semifinal.

The Egyptian national team lost to the Senegalese national team 1-0 on Wednesday evening in the tournament's semi-final.

Hossam Hassan said in the press conference after the match: "What happened to my team was unfair. I had to play just two days after the Ivory Coast match, and we had also just traveled. Meanwhile, Senegal rested for three days and played in the same city where they had been based throughout the tournament."

He continued: "Look at the number of days they rested, and we let them rest. Imagine, they didn't change their sleep schedule, bed, or hotel, unlike my players who came back from traveling and changed everything."

He continued: "I am proud of my team and the Egyptian national team, and until the Day of Judgment, no one will be able to do what the Egyptian national team has done by winning 7 Africa Cup of Nations titles."
