Legal advisor Yaqoub Al-Mutair warned of severe legal consequences that could pursue Al-Nassr Club if they back out of the contract signed with Al-Hilal striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan during the current winter transfer window.

Recent media reports circulated that Al-Nassr secured the signing of Al-Hamdan after he refused to renew his contract with Al-Hilal, aiming to strengthen the capital team's attacking line in this January's transfer window.

The program "Dorina Ghair" revealed that Al-Hamdan signed his contract with Al-Nassr under the supervision of CEO José Semedo, but the club's executive committee expressed their refusal to complete the deal.

Yaqoub Al-Mutair explained that the contract becomes legally binding once it is signed by the player and an authorized official, emphasizing that Semedo's signature gives the contract an official and effective status.

Al-Mutair pointed out that Al-Nassr's withdrawal from executing the contract may grant Al-Hamdan the right to claim the full financial value of the contract, even if he does not participate in any match wearing the team's jersey.

The legal advisor emphasized that the best solution for Al-Nasr is to either fulfill the contract or reach an amicable settlement with the player to avoid legal escalation.

He concluded his statement by warning that terminating the contract during the protected period could lead to the case being referred to the Disputes Committee, with the possibility of penalties similar to those previously imposed in the case of Mohammed Kanno.
