Media personality warns about the referee for Egypt vs. Senegal match
Media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour issued a warning regarding the referee for the Egypt vs. Senegal match scheduled for tomorrow in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.
The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced that the match will be officiated by the Gabonese referee Pierre Achou.
Al-Ghandour said on Facebook: "The Gabonese referee who will officiate the Egypt vs. Senegal match was the VAR referee in the Algeria vs. Nigeria game and denied Algeria a penalty that was as clear as daylight. The referee was not called to review the play, and honestly, I am worried about him and his numerous yellow cards that could cause players to miss the match."
The match between Egypt and Senegal will be held at the Ibn Battuta Stadium and will start at 7:00 PM Cairo time and 8:00 PM Mecca time.
