AC Milan plans to strengthen its squad with a strong midfielder next season. According to Sky Sport Italy, the club is interested in signing German international Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich on a free transfer after his contract expires at the end of the current season.

Goretzka's contract with Bayern Munich ends next June, making his move to Milan a realistic option, especially after the newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" revealed that the two parties have not come close to any agreement to renew the contract, confirming his departure from the German club.

The 30-year-old Goretzka earns an annual salary of around 7 million euros and has refused to give up any part of his salary.

Goretzka is considered an important addition to Milan, as he has extensive experience in midfield and is capable of enhancing the team's technical abilities in the upcoming season. This is what prompted the Rossoneri management to already get in touch with the player's agent, according to the same sources.
