Diyala team forced a draw against their guest Al-Zawraa with a score of (1-1), in the match that brought the two teams together within the Iraqi Stars League competitions, witnessing a remarkable crowd presence that added an enthusiastic atmosphere to the course of the game.

The match was balanced for most of its periods, as the play was confined to the midfield with mutual attempts from both sides without significant danger on the goals, before the second half witnessed an increase in the pace of performance and pressure in search of the leading goal.

Al-Zawraa succeeded in opening the scoring in the 80th minute through Hassan Abdul Karim from the penalty spot, putting his team ahead and bringing the Seagulls closer to achieving a valuable away win.

However, Al-Zawraa's joy did not last long, as Diyala quickly responded just one minute later, when Thamer Al-Salhi managed to score the equalizer in the 81st minute, exploiting Al-Zawraa's push and maintaining his team's chances in the match.
