Al Hilal Defeats Al Nassr and Soars Alone at the Top

Al Hilal Club turned the Riyadh derby upside down by defeating their guests Al Nassr 3-1 in the highlight of the 15th round of the Roshn Saudi League, held at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium this evening.

Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 42nd minute, capitalizing on a precise pass from the Frenchman Kingsley Coman. The first half ended with the yellow team leading despite the possession advantage.

Al-Nassr appeared stronger in the first half, with a possession rate of 55%, and threatened Al-Hilal's goal with several chances. However, goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Rubaie excelled in defending the Blue's net.

Al Hilal came back strongly in the second half, and Salem Al-Dawsari succeeded in equalizing with a penalty kick in the 57th minute, after the Brazilian Malcolm was fouled inside the penalty area by Mohammad Simakan.

Al-Nassr suffered a severe blow when their goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi was sent off in the 60th minute, following an assault on Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, after a video assistant referee (VAR) review.

Al Hilal took advantage of the numerical superiority, with Mohammed Kanno scoring the leading goal in the 81st minute, following a precise cross from Ruben Neves, amid great jubilation from the fans.

Before the final whistle, Ruben Neves secured the blue team's victory by scoring the third goal from a penalty in the 90th minute, following Ali Al-Hassan's foul on Salem Al-Dosari inside the box.

With this result, Al Hilal strengthened its lead in the Saudi Professional League, raising its total to 38 points and extending its lead to 7 points ahead of second-placed Al Nassr, as the champions continue to assert their dominance at the top of the table.
