Three Scenarios Proposed to Decide the Fate of Moroccan Defender in Cairo
Al Ahly SC of Egypt continues its efforts to finalize the signing of Moroccan international Achraf Dari during the current winter transfer window, amid recent developments regarding the player's future with the team.
Egyptian press reports, citing sports broadcaster Ahmed Shobeir, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the ongoing negotiations within Al Ahly club regarding the Moroccan defender, ahead of his departure from the team during the current transfer window.
Shobeir explained in radio statements that Al Ahly's management has reached a preliminary agreement regarding Ashraf Dari's departure, with three proposed options. The first option involves either selling the player or loaning him to one of the Egyptian clubs during the current period.
The same source added that the player refuses the idea of playing for any club in Egypt other than Al Ahly, which led the club's management to suggest looking for offers from Gulf or European clubs as a second option to complete his transfer.
Shobeir pointed out that the third proposed solution is to mutually terminate the contract between both parties during the current month of January, in case it is not possible to reach an agreement through the previous two options.
The Egyptian journalist confirmed that Ashraf Dari is a distinguished player who has previously shone wearing the Moroccan national team jersey and participated in the World Cup finals. However, repeated injuries and bad luck have plagued him since joining Al Ahly; just as he recovers, he suffers a new injury. This has raised concerns within the club about his continued presence.
