English club Brentford has entered the race to sign 23-year-old Lazio winger Matteo Cancellieri, amid growing interest in acquiring him during the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to current data, Cancellieri's transfer to the English Premier League is a strong possibility in January, especially with Brentford closely monitoring his impressive performance and development with Lazio recently.

On its part, Lazio has expressed its willingness to let go of the player but has set the transfer fee between 20 and 25 million euros, provided that an official offer meeting the financial and sporting ambitions of the management is received.

At the same time, Lazio has not closed the door on Cancellieri's continuation; the club's management is considering the option of renewing his contract with a salary increase, in an effort to retain him or raise his market value in the future before making a final decision about his future.
