Al-Ittihad Officially Moves to Change the Venue of the Al-Kholood Clash in the King’s Cup Semifinal
Sunday 11-01-2026
Al-Ittihad Club has submitted an official request to the Saudi Football Federation to change the venue of their upcoming match against Al-Kholood in the King’s Cup competition.

Domingos Suarez, the CEO of Al-Ittihad Club, confirmed that the management has contacted the Football Association regarding the transfer of the King’s Cup semifinal match from Al-Rass Stadium to the city of Buraydah.

Suárez explained that the reason for requesting a change of stadium is due to the limited capacity of Al-Rass Stadium and its inability to accommodate the large number of expected Al-Ittihad fans.

The Football Association had previously scheduled the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Kholood to be held at Al-Hazem Club Stadium in Ar Rass on Monday, March 16, as part of the tournament's semi-final.

The Al-Ittihad management's move came after the big 4-0 victory over Al-Kholood in the 14th round of the Roshn Saudi League, held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah.

The match saw the brilliance of Frenchman Karim Benzema, who scored three goals, while Saleh Al-Shehri added the fourth goal, confirming Al-Ittihad's technical superiority.

Al-Ittihad occupies fifth place in the Roshn Saudi League standings with 26 points after 13 matches, during which they have achieved 8 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses.
