Danish coach Jess Thorup, head coach of Al Ahly club, rejected the idea of signing unknown players during the current winter transfer window, insisting on acquiring ready-made signings capable of making an immediate impact.

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, Al-Ahly's management offered Torup a large number of African players to undergo technical trials within the club, so that the coach can select the most suitable ones in preparation for signing them.

However, the newspaper confirmed that Torup rejected this proposal, emphasizing his need for "super deals" to strengthen the team's ranks, given the limited time and his inability to try out unknown players during a crucial period of the season.

Press reports indicated that the Danish head coach is demanding the signing of multiple players during the current winter transfer window, including a defender, a left-back, and forwards, with the aim of strengthening the team’s squad and competing strongly for titles in the upcoming period.

Torup's approach comes within his efforts to build a well-rounded team capable of meeting the ambitions of Al-Ahly's fans, relying on experienced players who are ready and able to make an immediate impact.
