Ahmed Khreida, president of Al-Khaleej Club, revealed the latest updates regarding the negotiations for midfielder Murad Hawsawi's transfer to Al-Hilal Saudi Club during the current winter transfer window.

Khurayda confirmed in press statements on Friday that negotiations with Al-Hilal's management are still ongoing, saying: "Things are progressing normally, and the negotiations with Al-Hilal are underway; the deal has not been finalized yet."

Al Hilal's management had entered into serious talks with their counterparts at Al Khaleej to purchase Murad Hawsawi's contract during the current January, amid strong interest from several clubs. Reports indicated that Al Hilal was ahead of Al Ittihad and Al Nassr in the race to sign the player.

The same reports mentioned that Al Hilal has reached a preliminary agreement with Al Khaleej to sign Hawsawi on a three-season contract. The player is set to begin his journey with "Al Za'eem" starting from the current winter transfer window, pending the finalization of the remaining details.

On his part, Georgios Donis, the head coach of Al-Khaleej Club, spoke about Murad Hawsawi's absence from the team's matches during the past period, emphasizing the difficulty of replacing him. He said, "Murad cannot be compared to any other player; he is a player with exceptional talent and a promising future in Saudi football."

The Greek coach added: "Murad's future is still tied to administrative details, but that is the management's responsibility. After his injury with the Saudi national team in the Arab Cup, he did not participate with us and only trained in the last three days before facing Damac. It is not possible to guarantee finding a replacement with the same level of competence."

The transfer deal of Murad Hawsawi to Al-Hilal remains eagerly anticipated, awaiting the official announcement and the finalization of negotiations between both parties in the coming days.
