Al-Ittihad Seeks to Resolve Al-Aboud Crisis and Reinstate Player for Participation
Fahad Al-Sindi, president of Al-Ittihad Club, has initiated serious efforts to resolve the crisis involving Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, after the player underwent individual training as a disciplinary measure during the past period.
The Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah reported that Al-Ittihad's management is considering the case of Al-Aboud's return to group training, amid a clear desire from Fahad Sindi to keep the player and try to manage the situation.
The same sources confirmed that the decision to exclude Al-Aboud was not made individually by the Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição, but was issued following a recommendation from the club's technical committee.
Abdulrahman Al-Aboud missed Al-Ittihad's matches against Al-Shabab, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Kholood after Conceição decided to exclude him for disciplinary reasons that affected his presence with the team.
These developments coincided with media reports mentioning the club's intention to release the player during the current winter transfer window due to disciplinary actions.
Al-Ittihad is preparing to face Al-Kholood this evening in the 14th round of the Saudi Professional League. The team currently holds sixth place with 23 points after 12 matches.
