The Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed that FC Barcelona has included the name of Dutch international Micky van de Ven, a Tottenham defender, on its list of targets to strengthen the defense in the upcoming sporting project. This comes as the club's management seeks to sign a central defender, preferably left-footed.

According to the newspaper, Barcelona has been monitoring several names for the center-back position, including Nico Schlotterbeck of Borussia Dortmund, Alessandro Bastoni of Inter Milan, and Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace. However, Micky van de Ven has emerged as a less commonly discussed option, but he is gaining increasing interest within the club.

The Spanish newspaper pointed out that Micky De Vyn wants to leave Tottenham next summer and prefers to move to Barcelona. Additionally, if Tottenham decides to sell the player, they prefer his transfer to be to a club outside the English Premier League.

Sport explained that Barcelona's management views the center-back signing as a strategic move, with optimism about securing the necessary resources despite the tough competition in the market and the high prices for left-footed defenders. In this context, Bastoni is considered the top target, but his value, which could exceed 80 million euros, makes the deal complicated, especially given Chelsea's interest in the player.

The newspaper added that Miki de Vin stands out for his suitability to Barcelona's style of play, his ability to play as a center-back or left-back, as well as his good speed and skill in advancing with the ball, making him an attractive option for the coaching staff.
