Al-Aboud Makes Final Decision on His Transfer to Al-Shabab
Friday 09-01-2026
Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, a player for Al-Ittihad, announced his stance on transferring to Al-Shabab during the current winter transfer window, amid Al-Shabab's desire to strengthen their attack.

Journalistic sources revealed that Al-Aboud has given preliminary approval to join Al-Shabab on a loan deal, to participate with them in the second half of the 2025-26 football season.

Al-Shabab opened communication channels with the player to explain their technical vision for the deal, assuring him of the opportunity to play as a starter with the team and to rebuild his form.

Al-Aboud expressed his welcome to the transfer, hoping to get regular playing minutes to prove his abilities and return to the Saudi national team's plans before next summer's World Cup.

The youth's concern arises after Al-Aboud was repeatedly excluded from Al-Ittihad's matches by decision of the Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição, who only allowed the player to participate in 10 matches, totaling 219 minutes and providing one assist.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days if the two clubs reach an official agreement, giving Al-Aboud the opportunity to reignite his football career before the crucial stage of the season.
