Italian club Genoa has finalized its contract with Brazilian Pinto Matheus, goalkeeper of Saudi club Al-Nassr, during the current winter transfer window, outperforming English club West Ham in the race to secure the player's services.

Trusted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Genoa completed all details with Al-Nassr's management after direct negotiations in recent days, bringing the Brazilian goalkeeper closer to a new experience in the Italian league.

According to the deal details, Pinto moves to Genoa on loan with an option to buy for 5 million euros, with the contract extending until 2030 if the purchase option is activated, making the deal fully settled among all parties.

Al-Nassr agreed to Pinto's departure to make room for registering a new foreign player in the central position, especially since the coaching staff relies on Nawaf Al-Aqidi as the main goalkeeper in the Roshn Saudi League competitions, and Pinto has not been regularly participating this season.
