German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen caused concern within the Barcelona delegation in Jeddah after he left the team's training last Tuesday due to pain in his knee, which had undergone previous surgery.

In agreement with the Catalan club, the player returned to Barcelona to undergo medical examinations with the doctor who performed the surgery, Joan Carles Monllau, and it was found that the injury was no more than minor discomfort.

According to the Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the German goalkeeper returned to training on Thursday morning at the Joan Gamper Sports City and participated normally in the goalkeepers' training, confirming his physical readiness.

The German goalkeeper announced his return to Jeddah to join the team and placed himself at the disposal of coach Hans Flick, in preparation for the Spanish Super Cup final. It is also scheduled that Gavi and Andreas Christensen will join the Barcelona delegation in Saudi Arabia despite the injuries they are suffering from.

In a related context, Ter Stegen's future remains under observation during the winter transfer market, as he is considering the option of leaving in search of playing time that would ensure his position as the goalkeeper for the German national team in the upcoming World Cup. Girona is considered the closest destination in a loan deal accepted by all parties.
