Officials of Al Ahly Club have finalized their position on signing Amr El-Gazar, the defender of the National Bank team, during the current winter transfer window, as part of their plan to strengthen the defense line before the season's remaining matches.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Al-Ahly's management has already reached an agreement with Amr El-Gazar and his agent regarding the personal terms, in preparation for his joining the team during the current January transfer window.

The newspaper pointed out that Al-Ahly has begun official negotiations with the National Bank's management to finalize the deal; however, there are concerns within the Red Castle about the club's excessive financial demands, which could delay the completion of the contract.

The newspaper explained that Al Ahly submitted a financial offer to the National Bank, along with an offer to release one of the players who are not part of the plans of the Danish head coach Jes Thorup. The Red administration emphasized its commitment to completing the deal at a reasonable price; otherwise, they will withdraw if the financial demands are excessive.
