Fenerbahçe Prepares an Offer to Sign Ademola Lookman
Wednesday 07-01-2026
Turkish club Fenerbahçe is intensifying its efforts in the winter transfer market to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, in a major deal aimed at strengthening their attacking line this January.

According to the website "Football Italia," Fenerbahçe is preparing to make an initial offer in the form of a paid loan worth 5 million euros, with an option to buy or the possibility of converting it into an obligation for 37 million euros, while negotiations are still in their early stages.

On the other hand, Atalanta prefers to complete the deal through a permanent transfer, as the Italian club values Lookman highly due to his impressive performances in the Italian league and European competitions, and they do not want to postpone a full sale unless the terms are very favorable.

This interest comes after a summer in which the player was linked with a move to Inter Milan that ultimately did not materialize, while the current progress of negotiations depends on Fenerbahçe's willingness to convert their offer into a permanent direct transfer or to include a mandatory purchase clause with achievable conditions.
