Portuguese José Mourinho commented on Manchester United's decision to dismiss his compatriot Rúben Amorim, affirming that he always prefers to close the chapter on any past experience without delving into its details, leaving the door open for analysis only to those who lived the experience themselves.

Mourinho said in press statements: "I am fully aware of my time at Manchester United, and I know well the reason for my departure, but as I always do when I leave any club, I close the door, or it is closed; when one door closes, another opens, and that is what happened with me."

The veteran coach added that his history with the club is clear through numbers and achievements, explaining: "The history is there, the numbers are there, and the three medals I won I took back home with me."

Regarding Rúben Amorim's situation, Mourinho emphasized that the matter concerns the dismissed coach alone, saying: "What happened with Rúben is something that can only be analyzed by him. I know him well, and I trust that he is capable of that. Whether he chooses to share his analysis with the media and reveal his point of view is a decision that rests solely with him."
