Walid Salah El-Din Checks on Trezeguet After His Injury
Walid Salah El-Din, the football director of Al Ahly club, made a phone call to Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, the first team player and member of the Egyptian national team, to check on his health condition after he sustained an injury while participating with the Pharaohs in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Morocco.
Trezeguet suffered a ligament tear in his ankle during Egypt's match against Benin, which took place on Monday evening as part of the round of 16 of the tournament. This required him to undergo medical examinations and scans under the supervision of the national team's medical staff.
Salah El-Din inquired with the player about the details of the injury and the test results, wishing him a speedy recovery and a quick return to the field after completing the prescribed treatment and rehabilitation program.
The football director of Al Ahly confirmed in press statements today, Tuesday, that he also made sure to communicate with the other Al Ahly international players to check on their condition and congratulate them on Egypt's national team qualifying for the quarterfinals, following their 3-1 victory over Benin after extra time.
