Strasbourg coach Liam Rosignol has officially announced that he has reached an agreement with Chelsea to become the club's new head coach, succeeding Enzo Mariska, who left the club a few days ago.

Liam Rossignol said in statements reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano: "I am about to become the new head coach of Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world," clearly indicating that an agreement between the two parties is close to being finalized.

He added: "Working as a coach for Chelsea is an incredible opportunity at a prestigious club, a world champion, and I cannot refuse this opportunity."

He continued: "Now I can return to my home, see my children, and sign with a great club. This is an opportunity not to be missed."

The coach also made sure to send a farewell message to his former club Strasbourg, emphasizing that the time he spent there was truly special. He said, "The 18 months with Strasbourg were the best period of my career."

Chelsea is expected to officially announce the signing of Liam in the coming hours, marking the start of a new chapter at the helm of the London club's coaching staff.
