Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that English club West Ham United has made an official move to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Bento Matheus, a player for Al-Nassr, during the current winter transfer window.

West Ham has made an official offer to Al-Nassr's management to sign Bento Matheus, as part of the English club's efforts to strengthen the goalkeeper position ahead of the second half of the season.

Fabrizio Romano explained on his X account that West Ham's management sees Bento as a suitable option to strengthen the team, after monitoring his performance recently while playing for Al-Nassr.

The reliable Italian journalist pointed out that the offer made by West Ham amounts to ten million euros, with the Brazilian goalkeeper set to move until the end of the current season.

The sources confirmed that Bento Matheus is no longer in the plans of the Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, who does not prefer to keep the goalkeeper in Al-Nassr's squad for the upcoming phase.

Jesus urged Al-Nassr's management to approve Bento's departure during the winter transfer window, in order to reorganize the foreign player roster and strengthen other positions within the team.
