Moroccan star Aziz El Ouahi broke his silence to clarify the nature of the injury he sustained during training sessions, which officially ended his participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

On his official Instagram account, Ounahi confirmed that the injury occurred without any contact, emphasizing that what happened is a normal part of football and that none of his teammates were involved. This was a clear message to put an end to the rumors and speculations that have circulated recently.

The midfielder expressed his deep gratitude to the Moroccan fans for the flood of support and encouragement messages he received after announcing his injury, saying: "Your words touched my heart deeply and gave me indescribable moral strength, which I will carry with me every step of the way."

Walid Regragui had previously revealed that Ounahi is suffering from a muscle tear in his leg, which will keep him off the field for about six weeks, meaning he will officially miss the rest of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ounahi's absence is a significant blow to the midfield of the "Atlas Lions" at a crucial stage of the tournament, as the Moroccan national team aims to continue its journey and strongly compete for the continental title.
