Al-Shabab Club management has taken serious steps to sign Ali Al-Bulaihi, the Al-Hilal defender, taking advantage of his exclusion from the plans of Italian coach Simone Inzaghi during the current winter transfer window.

These moves came after Al-Bulaihi's departure from Al-Hilal became a strongly considered option, following the coaching staff's decision to exclude him from the team's tactical plans for the upcoming phase.

The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" revealed that Al-Shabab's management has officially opened negotiations with Al-Hilal in an attempt to finalize the deal to acquire the international defender during the January transfer window.

The same newspaper clarified that Al Hilal does not fundamentally object to selling the remaining duration of Al-Bulaihi's contract, which extends for a season and a half, given the club's intention to reorganize the defense line.

On the other hand, Ali Al-Bulaihi expressed hesitation about transferring to Al-Shabab due to the team's poor performance and its 15th place standing in the league table with 8 points.

Al-Bulaihi wishes to have an experience that guarantees him a primary role, hoping to return to the Saudi national team roster before the World Cup finals scheduled for next June.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Hilal's management renewed Ali Al-Bulaihi's contract last season for two years, without officially announcing the details of the renewal at that time.
