The Wydad Athletic Club delegation arrived in Qatar on Monday morning, coming from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, as part of an external training camp aimed at enhancing the team's physical and technical readiness in preparation for continuing local and continental competitions.

The red team's camp in Qatar will run from January 4 to 13, 2026, and the preparatory program includes playing two to three friendly matches to test the technical staff's choices and assess the readiness of Wydad players before resuming the national professional league competitions, as well as the team's journey in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Wydad's management stated that they have entered negotiations with several clubs to schedule friendly matches, including Iranian Persepolis, Qatar's Al-Muaither, and Al-Wakrah, who are the main candidates to face the Moroccan representative during the camp period.
