Inzaghi Shocks Al Hilal Defender with His Final Decision
Wednesday 07-01-2026
Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head of Al Hilal, has finalized his decision regarding Ali Al-Bulaihi, the team's defender, coinciding with the start of the winter transfer window in the Saudi league.

The program "Al-Muntasaf" on Al Ekhbariya channel revealed that Inzaghi officially informed Al-Bulaihi that he is no longer included in his technical plans for the upcoming period with the blue team.

The source explained that the Italian coach ranks Ali Al-Bulaihi as the fifth option among Al-Hilal's defenders, especially with the management's moves to strengthen the backline by bringing in a new central defender.

This decision came after Al-Bulaihi objected to being substituted during the match against Sharjah in the AFC Champions League Elite, which led Inzaghi to exclude him from the recent games.

According to the information, Al-Bulaihi contacted Al-Hilal's management and expressed his desire to leave, prompting the management to show flexibility in selling the remaining period of his contract, which extends until June 2027.

Al Hilal's management had renewed the international defender's contract last season for two years without an official announcement, and they rejected an offer from Al-Ittihad to loan him during last summer.

Ali Al-Bulaihi participated in 7 matches with Al-Hilal this season, playing a total of 377 minutes, and successfully assisted one goal, according to statistics from Transfermarkt.
